Please review the following safety information about medications that may be prescribed through Graceland Wellness.
Semaglutide (Ozempic®, Wegovy®) and Tirzepatide (Zepbound®)
GLP-1 receptor agonists are injectable or oral medications that help regulate appetite, blood sugar, and body weight. They are prescribed for weight management when clinically appropriate.
Compounded GLP-1/GIP medications are not FDA-approved. They are prepared by licensed compounding pharmacies and have not undergone FDA review for safety, effectiveness, or manufacturing standards. Compounded medications are clearly identified as such when prescribed.
SSRIs, SNRIs, ADHD medications, mood stabilizers, sleep aids, and anti-anxiety medications.
Specific side effects vary by medication and are discussed with your provider during your evaluation. Always take medications exactly as prescribed.
Antidepressants may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts and behavior in children, adolescents, and young adults (18-24). Patients of all ages starting antidepressant therapy should be monitored closely for clinical worsening and suicidal ideation. Graceland Wellness treats adults 18 and older only.
Sildenafil (Viagra®), Tadalafil (Cialis®), and related treatments.
Do NOT take PDE5 inhibitors (sildenafil, tadalafil) if you take nitrates for chest pain or heart problems. The combination can cause a sudden, dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your provider about ALL medications you take, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements.
All medications prescribed through Graceland Wellness are prescribed only when clinically appropriate by a licensed provider.
